Course Details
A customized and comprehensive Defensive Tactics Carbine & Pistol course designed to focus on real, combat-proven techniques that win in chaos. This course will reinforce self-reliance and confidence, firearms proficiency, and determined survival. Our instructors will maximize student/instructor contact time using specific pistol and carbine drills that include:
“Every time/all-the-time” foundation building, zero-meter aggressor, immediate-action drills, tactical reloads, barricades and obstacles, riot/violent-crowd survival, active- shooter engagement, low-light tactics, small-team tactics, hard-point tactics and defending assets to include vehicles, offices and homes.
Two days focused on how to prepare you to deal with myriad threats employing combat-proven techniques, tactics and procedures to overcome, dominate and prevail.

Instructor Bio: Brian “Sarg” Sargent retired in 2010 (20 years) as an accomplished and decorated Navy SEAL Master Chief with decades of firearms instruction experience. He has had countless practical applications of his skills on the front line. He is a combat tested and a proven expert in the fields of close quarter combat, special forces sniping, urban warfare, military small arms, land warfare, combat medicine, survival, personal security, and armed and unarmed combatives. Brian was the Officer in Charge (OIC) of the Naval Special Warfare SEAL Sniper Course for four years and has conducted SEAL operations in Central and South America, Asia and the Middle East. Brian is a sought-after instructor, by military, law enforcement and civilians. He brings real-world experience as well as technical and tactical expertise to every course.

We will drive together from One Shot to the private range (six-minute drive)

Times and Daily Schedule (2 days)
• Foundation pistol and carbine: Day 1, 9:00 am – 4:00 pm • Low-Light pistol and carbine: 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm
• Advance Tactics: Day 2 9:00 am – 2:00 pm • Situationally-Driven Exercises: 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm
Equipment Required
• Hat, environmentally appropriate clothing (cold morning to hot afternoon), closed-toed shoes/boots, sturdy belt
- Ear and eye protection
- Handheld flashlight
- Carbine / suppressed only w/sling
- Pistol w/holster (everyday carry or drop holster)
- At least two magazines for both weapon systems
- 400 pistol rounds
- 400 carbine rounds
- Food, hydration for the duration of the course, both days
SCG can also provide, for a very reasonable rental price, pistols and carbines, if requested in advance.
SCG can also provide, for a very reasonable cost, 9mm and 5.56 ammunition. Please let us know in advance if you’ll want us to bring ammo for you.
You will be trained by Special Operations experts using Special Operations methodologies. You will be exposed to and trained to deal with lethal threats at a level that you can only get in one other place—the battlefield.
